Nora Karaivanova stepped into the limelight during the second season of Music Idol Bulgaria in 2008. She took second place, but it was clear long before the finale that she possesses the qualities of a world-class artist.

After the music competition Nora recorded a ballad with the prominent Bulgarian pop artist Grafa – “Imenno Ti”. It was followed by her first solo single, called “It’s Not Right”. The song, whose lyrics Nora wrote herself, made it to the semi-finals of the national selection of a song for Eurovision 2009. The catchy R&B single featuring some rock elements was exactly what the fans would expect from the girl, who earlier proved herself as an artist with powerful voice as well as great music taste.

In 2010 she released her second single, called “Nakude” (“Where”). Her songwriting skills were recognized by the First lady of Bulgarian music – Lilly Ivanova. Nora Karaivanova and her partner Bisser Ivanov wrote respectively the lyrics and music for Lili’s “Sam” (“Alone”), released in 2011. Afterwards she was chosen to record a song for Coca Cola’s Christmas campaign for Bulgaria covering “Shake Up Christmas” by Train, becoming the first Bulgarian singer, who took part in such project. Together with her band Nora supported the Swedish duo Roxette at their concert in Sofia in 2011.

Meanwhile the singer graduated from the National Academy of Music and released a bunch of new songs: from the optimistic “Rozovi Ochila” (“Pink sunglasses”) through the dramatic “Tryabva Li” (“Should I”) to the funky and positive “Iskam Te” (“I Want You”) with Brazz Association COMBO. Her latest project included another talented female artist – Magi Djanavarova, whose collaboration “Diva” is a celebration of women’s empowerment. It was followed by a few parts, which Nora played in musicals of Sofia’s Musical Theatre such as “Chicago”, “Zoro” and “Nostradamus”. She continues writing music and performing with Bisser Ivanov, so we are looking forward to their upcoming work.
