За 77-ма поредна година се проведе едно от най-занчимите събития с червен килим – наградите Златен Глобус 2020
Наградите Златен глобус са връчват всяка година в САЩ за игрални филми и телевизионни програми от HFPA (Асоциацията на холивудската чуждестранна преса). Те се провеждат от 1944 година като са сред най-престижните и най-гледани награди за кино и телевизия (след наградите Оскар за кино и наградите Еми за телевизия).
Бляскавата церемония се проведе в Beverly Hilton хотел в Beverly Hills. Водещ на събитието за пети път бе британският комик Рики Джървейс.
Статуетката в категория най-добър актьор очаквано отиде в Хоакин Финикс за ролята му в “Жокер“. При жените, Рене Зелуегър бе отличена с приза за най-добра актриса за ролята си на Джуди Гарланд в “Джуди“.
Златен Глобус за най-добър филм сред свирепа конкуренция спечели военната драма “1917”, а режисьора на филма Сам Мендес надви Мартин Скорсезе и Куентин Тарантино и грабна наградата за най-добър режисьор.
Тази година с почетна награда Cecil B. deMille Award за цялостен принос бе отличен осемкратният носител на Златен Глобус Tom Hanks. Другият носител на награда за цялостен принос бе Ellen DeGeneres, която получи наградата Carol Burnett Award.
